Okay, my Mycology friends, I need help with this I.D. They were growing on a stump and a fallen branch; couldn't identify the wood other than hardwood (oak, I think.). I thought Jack-o'-lantern, but there is no stem at all. Other than color, they look more like Oysters. I am making a spore print.

IRIDE is in Vero Beach, FL for the winter, until March 30, 2016. I am scheduling lessons here now, so if you would like to have lessons on your horse, please contact me! Jelle is settling in nicely, as always.

I found three beautiful Indigo Milkies tonight, so I cooked them up and added them as a side dish to a Hoisin/Honey glazed seared Tuna Steak, Sauteed Zucchini, and White Rice.  It was all very good!  My book says that Indigos are not really a choice edible, but I beg to differ....and besides, who can resist BLUE food?!  LOL They turn an even more intense purplish blue when cooked!
