The USACE Fort Worth District approved Mill Branch Mitigation Bank on May 4, 2012. Servicing the Dallas Fort Worth Metroplex and other portions of the Upper Trinity with ephemeral and intermittent stream credits, the Mill Branch approval represents several firsts. This is RiverBank's first approved mitigation bank (more coming soon). Mill Branch is also the first mitigation bank in the District using TXRAM, and the first in the Upper Trinity providing truly in-kind stream mitigation (mitigating stream impacts with stream restoration, not wetlands!). Credits are expected to be released on or before June 1, 2012.

A good description of the Texas Blackland Prairies and the impacts that have caused this ecoregion to become endangered.
Hopefully the restoration of Cottonwood Creek can make a small difference.

We've been lucky to get to work with the Connemara Conservancy to conserve our hard work on Mill Branch Mitigation Bank. Please take a look at the great work they are doing to protect North Texas.

We are proud to say that we are nearing the end of our permitting process for Mill Branch Mitigation Bank! We will soon have Stream credits available for the Dallas / Fort Worth area. They will be the first stream credits in this area that will come from true stream restoration. Please support us as we continue to improve watersheds across Texas.
