Coulson Gears, our branded technology classes are taking shape, but we need your help.   Fill out this survey to let us know what your technology interest is in (hardware, software, API's, wearable, implants etc)

Let us know what you want to learn, and we'll start working on the most popular topic to put on a training class for.  We will call in guest speakers if we start going into more advanced topics.

Hey all, we are working on a location for our first meeting.  However we may schedule hang outs until this is done.
We are getting a consensus from everyone what they wish to get out of this group, and what they can contribute.
Please let us know so we can start working on our agenda and lineups.

Also, stay tuned, Mon 29, 10am EST, Google press conference in NY regarding ..... android :)  Some of you may have guessed, and many rumors abound regarding the new Nexus program.

We will post a link when we get one.

Microsoft’s HoloLens Display Could Transform the Computer Screen As We Know It http://ow.ly/2U5oYs
For decades, Microsoft has largely been a “me-too” kind of company. You’ve got a tablet? Look, now we have one too. You’ve got a gaming console? Check this out. You’ve got a world-leading search engine? Here’s our also-ran. Yet the new headworn visual interface by Microsoft isn’t a “me-too” kind [...]

First law of robotics test... Allow no harm to come to a human, and the robot worried too much.. Interesting... http://ow.ly/BzEyq
wabrandsma sends this article from New Scientist: In an experiment, Alan Winfield and his colleagues programmed a robot to prevent other automatons – acting as proxies for humans – from falling into a hole. This is a simplified version of Isaac Asimov's fictional First Law of Robotics ...

Greetings everyone, it has been sometime since we posted, and we are working on changing that.

We are looking to build this groups as a meeting/networking place people in the south central pa area.

First things first.
Time/When?
Looking for everyone's input on this, when would be a good time during the week or weekend to meet/hangout (evenings? week evenings? after the kids are asleep?)

Second,
What topics are you interested in?  This is a technology group, and in short, google is intertwined in just about every piece of technology.  So our options are wide open :)
(Android, Chrome, ChromeOS, API's, Cloud Compute, etc)

From here we will create a topics list, share with the group, and start creating events for hangouts.

The biggest goal, is to review some piece of technology through a presentation and open discussion.  So everyone can take a little piece of knowledge away after each meeting or hangout, and hopefully a connection or two too.

If you are interested in presenting, let me what topics and we will get you scheduled.

Good news everyone.  I have worked out a meeting location in York for our evening meets.  We will probably not start meeting in person until the spring due to the holidays and possible weather issues over the next few months.

Which is okay, as we can do a google hanouts until then, and may do these monthly, in addition to monthly meetups.

When would be the best time for you to "hangout" online.  After 5, weekends, during the day, over lunch hour?   Trying to find the best time to accommodate everyone.

I'll send out a Google Event that best meets everyones time and let the fun begin.

If I'm still in the York area and depending on where I'm working at when we really start meeting, just about any of those times should work for me. Over lunch might be the only sketchy one.
