Every year, one of my favorite videos I'm looking forward to.
This year people searched for everything under the sun and beyond, from distant comets to tiny burritos. And they asked Google important questions like “where do we come from?” and “should I get married?”

That’s why today we’re launching our annual #YearinSearch, a look back at the searches, questions and moments that defined 2014.

Watch the film, explore the site and relive the year along the way. g.co/2014  http://goo.gl/kKOek4

This is so sad and so true.

Reflecting all ups and downs in the last years of my PhD, the generation of untested, unusable source code just fitting to the test data/environment frustrates me most: The vast amount of not sustainable and therefore useless LOCs coded in research reflects not only the ignorance for real world scenarios. It's even worse: such code solves problems ignoring the real world.

Hopefully millions of people are already aware of the tragedy going on in DRC Congo linked to the SmartPhone and electronic industry... That's already a good point, but not enough yet ! So share these videos so more of your friend get aware of this very serious reality !
You can NOW go further than just sharing (and asking big companies to take action...), show your determinations by avoiding all the big companies together and going for the first of the name +FairPhone !
*We are already thousands to have done this choice...
Let's make it millions in a year from now ! (for the 2sd Fairphone !!)*
If millions of us turn away from big companies for a small phone that is guaranteed to be conflict free, this will hopefully make them take action as well !
