LIfe in Fairmead is not so fair

"Family homes in Fairmead with shallow private wells feet can't compete with agricultural wells sucking water out of the aquifer at 1,000 feet or deeper."

Generally if someone talks about "toxins" they're after your money. But maybe, they're after your clicks, too.
The Food Babe Blogger Is Full of Shit

“The enzymes released from kale go in to your liver and trigger cancer fighting chemicals that literally dissolve unhealthy cells throughout your body.”

Vani Hari, a.k.a. the Food Babe, has amassed a loyal following in her Food Babe Army. The recent subject of profiles and interviews in the New York Times, the New York Post and New York Magazine, Hari implores her soldiers to petition food companies to change their formulas. She’s also written a bestselling book telling you that you can change your life in 21 days by “breaking free of the hidden toxins in your life.” She and her army are out to change the world.

If you don't know anything about #scientology  and/or want to be disturbed, slightly frightened and sad... take a watch! (It's definitely more interesting than I made it sound, there.)

The plan recommends that the US Food and Drug Administration and Department of Agriculture take further steps to curtail the use of medically important classes of antibiotics for growth promotion in animals raised for human consumption. It did not set a specific goal or say how the agencies will be held accountable.

“President Obama gets an A for tackling this problem from multiple angles,” said Jahagirdar. “But in terms of addressing the biggest problem, the troubling overuse and misuse of antibiotics on large factory farms, the administration gets an incomplete.”
