Worse decision to join planet beach! Sam, the manager then but now no longer works there, gave me confirmation that I was no longer a member. But guess what? I was still charged $160 plus overdraft fees from my bank the next month. I never stepped in the salon for the next two months but was still charged. When trying to either be refunded my money or be able to use the spa facilities for the two months I paid for it took over a month to get a reply from the owner that said she couldn't do anything about it. I am a full time student and work part time, I thought this would be fun and relaxing. WRONG!! I saw a few bad reviews online about them, and sam, but thought it was a few bad experiences. Please save your money and avoid the mind boggling frustration of trying to deal with them. They have a great concept but horrible execution.

I bought a groupon for my wife and have to say while the deal sounded great everything they offer is an up sell that and they never have a time slot available. The customer service was very poor. I wouldn't recomend this place to anyone.

Worst customer service ever!!!! They charged my account repeatedly without authorization! I had to dispute everything through my bank to get the over $400 they charged one month. It is such a rip off!!! They tell you one thing at sign up and completely change the rules later! When I asked to talk to a manager she was conveniently never in and never showed up when I scheduled a meeting with her. Awful!!!

The hydration and slim capsule are awesome services. Unfortunately Planet Beach only has one of each machine. I used Groupon's for the services. When you call they ask if you are a member. If you are not, the attitude immediately changes. They put you on hold for long periods of time and scheduling services is limited. I was unable to use my final Groupon because either the equipment wasn't working or they didn't have appointments available. I even tried scheduling 3 weeks in advance and couldn't get in. The staff could really use a class in customer service. Some are friendly and some are just rude.

This place is WONDERFUL! I originally was given a 3 services free card, and the women there were super helpful in explaining all the services and what was available with the card. I then purchased a Groupon for 10 services because I was so impressed with the spa. They have been nothing but helpful and patient with me, as I tend to ask a lot of questions about products because of my cosmetic background. I thoroughly enjoy the services there, although the Slim Capsule is not my favorite (too hot, but can be adjusted lower if you want). What impressed me is that one of the products I purchased turned out to have something I was allergic to, and they went out of their way to make sure I could replace it with another product. Overall, I highly recommend this spa! Thank you to Samantha and the girls there :)

Shady sales practices, bordering on bait-and-switch. My wife purchased a Groupon for this place that seemed like a great deal for three sessions. But after her first session, she was told she had to purchase $30 worth of facial products for the facial part of the sessions (and these things look like sample packets). Feeling like she had been taken advantage of, my wife called back after getting home and was told the manager would call her. The assistant manager called two days later, and told my wife that it clearly states in the deal that you must purchase these facial products. Well... it does not. It mentions nothing about additional purchases being required. What it does mention is that the deal is not valid for facial products, which only further makes me believe that this was a shady sales practice. And trust me I have done sales so I know how they go. Make the customer feel like they have to purchase something that is not covered by the coupon. Its a different form of bait and switch but works on the same premise. Additionally, my wife described the place as somewhat disorganized. The spa treatment was done with machines and she was not really told how they operated or what to expect. She also asked if she could bring our 7 year old daughter with her, and was told "absolutely!" but then once there was told she had to sit out front by herself. Needless to say our daughter did not enjoy being there either. Overall with everything that came from going to this spa, I would say it was the opposite of a rejuvenating experience. My advice to others (especially those using any coupons) would be to be very careful in purchasing anything from this place. My wife will be using up the rest of her groupon coupon and will use up the $30 worth of sample facial products she was talked into purchasing, but she's said she won't be back to this place after that. Not just because of the sales techniques, and the owner-mandated no return policy (which could have negated this review altogether), but also because she didn't really like the machines either. Its a shame really because they are extremely close to our house. We were both really hoping that the "new management" would make things better here. But it is what it is.
