I've had a bit of a desk tidy. I had to so there was room for my new standing desk. I've not used it much yet but after a while you don't notice you are standing which I guess is a good thing.
Anyway, I present you with where I create Hobbes.
The large poster is the full text of The Wind in the Willows by Kenneth Grahame (one of my favourite books) and a small silhouette of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's Sherlock Holmes brought at 112B Baker Street.

One of my titles is on special offer today and is the Nook daily find and estories deal of the day.
Inspector Hobbes and the Curse read by Tim Campbell.

Set in the Cotswolds, this is the next instalment in the adventures of Inspector Hobbes, Mrs Goodfellow, and Dregs, as narrated by the still disaster-prone Andy Caplet. It is a rip roaring, funny, and moving tale of Andy's infatuation with a dangerously beautiful woman, starting off during investigations into sheep deaths and the mysterious disappearance of pheasants.
These incidents appear to be connected to a rash of big cat sightings, and something horrible seems to be lurking in the woods. Is Andy cursed to be always unsuccessful in love, or is the curse something much darker, something that will arouse his primeval terrors?

These are standalone stories.

Here's the audiobook reviewer's review.

I've seen a nice drone test video of a flight over Cirencester, however because its license doesn't allow distribution I don't think I can share it!
If you search for 'drone test above Cirencester' on https://www.youtube.com it should pop up and you can see a flyover of this little Cotswold town.
Cirencester is the inspiration for Sorenchester, although some things in Sorenchester are in different locations, borrowed from somewhere else or borrowed from history.
