Good to see that the NSA is regularly putting its journal online, finally.

They are opening up a lot. It's amazing that they will let us name that we work with them for example.

Prepared Statements are regularly recommended for the purpose of preventing SQLi vulnerabilities because they separate data from code. This is a nice explanation of how they work under the hood.

The Senate better not screw this up.

On another note, I can't stand this lost jobs argument against privatization. I don't think lost jobs is a valid reason to block a better way of doing things in a capitalist society. We could have also continued to employ hundreds of thousands of telephone switch operators, but we chose to replace them with technology instead. We live in a better world for it.

I totally agree "keeping jobs" should not prevent improvement. If jobs are a waste of money, then we should get rid of them. On the other hand, even in a capitalist society should also discuss important values such as wealth distribution and poverty. But keeping people employed just to keep paying, which is how we often do it them, is absurd. That's why governments keep getting bigger but not better... :)

I do my taxes the same way the content industry determines its loses. By my calculations, the government owes me a return of $2.5 million.
