Member for about a year. Over time, I grew tired of the many failures of this “gym.” Extremely limited resistance training equipment is probably the most notable downside. Only 1 flat bench and 3 smith machines, one of which has been BROKEN since I joined: counterweights have been either removed or broke and were never repaired/replaced. Brought this to the attention of staff, and the girl, with overwhelming indifference, informed me that it was left that way ON PURPOSE, as it provides members with “options.” LOL NO sweetie, you want more weight, you add more plates, you don’t rationalize not fixing a broken piece of equipment by saying that it provides people with a heavier option. Seriously? There is absolutely no enforcement of gym etiquette (i.e. no one unloads/re-racks weights, people stand inches away from the dumbbell rack blocking access, people regularly monopolize the limited number of machines for a half hour or more). And the staff just walks around, clueless. Yet, they never miss a chance to blow that stupid "lunk alarm"! The parking lot is a nightmare. The locker room often smells of urine. They claim to be a fitness center, yet foster an environment that runs counter to promoting true fitness and health by serving pizza to gym goers… It just makes no sense. I’ll pay the extra $ for GHAF. This place is a joke.
