Found a cigarette butt in our tapas. Manager took the item off the bill and did not apologise. Walked past the upstairs kitchen to see the chef smoking in the kitchen. Should be reported to the health authorities.

Great atmosphere and very good tapas. Really good patatas bravas and the shrimp with garlic were excellent. Get there before 9 if you want to avoid waiting. From my limited experience, the best spot in that part of Eixample.

Had 2 great meals there. The gentleman behind the bst wsd very helpful the first night in helping me choose some real Catalan dishes. Love it that the service is fast and reliable. Love, love, love " La Flauta".

Great, very friendly staff who provided English menus and helped us order throughout the meal, thoroughly recommended, although you will have to queue at peak times - get there about 8 at the nearest to beat the rush, or go late at 10.

We asked our hotel concierge to recommend a locals favorite for tapas and she recommend La Flauta. When we entered we were able to sit at the bar instead of wait the 15 minute to get a seat at a table. Yes, we were inpatient after flying all day... When we sat down we quickly ordered from the bartender and he passed our order to our waiter. Our waiter looked our order over and asked us if this is what we really wanted? We gave a resounding, yet quick reply of yes. He looked at both of us, smiled ear to ear and said "I will order for you! Trust me, you'll like it!" To be honest we were a little bit worried, but boy did he do right by us! He ordered us four different orders and one special one for my husband and everything was incredible. The service people are friendly, energetic and enthusiastic. The decor was clean and well laid out. The food was excellent. If you want to eat where the locals flock to and you don't want to be disappointed, then you need to definitely go to La Flauta. ENJOY and ask for Willy, as he will take care of you like you were family.
