Car all (mostly) fixed. Movers arranged for next week and bookkeeping all done. Not bad for a morning's work.

Just completed Deus Ex III. Really good game, but lacked the urgency of the 1st & the ending was weak. I'll give it 4 conspiracies out of 5.

Yes - it never really opened up in the way I remember the first doing. Hengsha rocked, though.

The Most Rewarding Week Of The Year. P8041988. I was talking with a potential client last week (Hi Chris!), and he commented that it was obvious how much I love my work. It's true, I really, reall...

Just been wading through the ordure of Breivik's manifesto & 'Declaration of European Independence'. Depressingly similar to Mein Kampf mixed in with seemingly naive descriptions of preparations for combat. If I'd read this last week I'd have dismissed it as the work of a fantasist.

Really pleased that we have a fantastic line up so far for the next Reading Geek Night on 9th August. (Thats Reading the town in Berkshire, UK... not Reading the thing you do with books) So far we have talks on Molecular Design, Cross Platform Mobile Apps and Young Rewired State.

If you live, or work, or just happen to be around Reading, on Tuesday then you'd be more than welcome - just turn up :)
b.t.w. There is space for one more 10 minute talk, if you're interested in taking the slot then get in touch.

This sounds very interesting - unfortunately it's on a day I'm not available, and also in Reading.

Very impressive. A lesson to those in large and slow organisations.
If I were caught in an earthquake, I'd be pretty shell-shocked. But Sebastian Alegria, a 14-year-old Chilean high school student, decided to hack together a twitter alert system that's already a year ...

Interesting.
I am reminded of this similar project, which seems to have done well in detecting earthquakes:
