Today my guest is The Nourishing Baker. Sharna’s has written a fantastic e-book highlighting wonderful deserts that satisfy your sweet tooth with natural healthy ingredients. No animal products, no gluten or refined sugar.

This video highlights Sharna’s raw chocolate brownie recipe:
Ingredients:
1 ripe avocado
6 Medjool dates
¼ cup of Cacao powder
¼ cup of Coconut flower
2 tablespoons of Maple syrup or sweetener of choice
Method
Line a brownie tin with baking paper
Pour in a food processor the  avocado, dates, cacao, coconut flower and sweetener
Press into a tray and set in the refrigerator for 2-3 hours
 
This is the first time I tried The Nourishing Bakers “Raw Chocolate Brownie” and I must say I loved it!   I can’t believe that this tastes so much like a brownie you would find in a store but natural and healthy!   I recommend this recipe as a great option when you get a sweet tooth! I look forward to trying many more of the Nourishing Bakers recipes!

Suco Verde – Saúde e Vitalidade

Sucos Verdes são uma deliciosa maneira de aumentar o nosso consumo de vegetais e frutas.

E porque precisamos aumentar o nosso consumo de vegetais e frutas??

Porque os vegetais e as frutas são a melhor fonte de vitaminas, minerais , fibras e muitos outros nutrientes que protegem o corpo contra doenças.

Além disso, como os sucos verdes são cheios de fibra, eles vão mantê-lo cheio, satisfeito e portanto controlar a sua fome!

Receita do Suco Verde
- Couve – 2 folhas grandes
- Espinafre – 2 mãos cheias
- Aipo – um pedaço pequeno
- Salsa
- Coentro
- 1 pepino médio
- 1 banana grande
- 1 abacate
- 2 xícaras de água

As frutas vão adicionar doçura e fazer o suco ficar cremoso e saboroso. Eu adoro banana e abacate, mas você pode adicionar as frutas que você gosta. Algumas ótimas opções são maçã, pêra, abacaxi ou mamão.

Eu uso um liquidificador comum, mas se você tem algo mais poderoso como um Vitamix é ainda melhor.

Comece despejando os dois copos de água no liquidificador e , em seguida, adicione cada ingrediente individualmente.

Esta mistura deve render até 1 litro. Tenho um frasco de 1 litro em casa só para beber o meu suco verde!

O resultado é verde, bonito e delicioso!

Green Smoothie – Health & Vitality

Green Smoothies are a great and delicious way to increase your consumption of vegetables and fruits.

And why would anyone need to increase their consumption of vegetables and fruits???? Because vegetables and fruits are the best source of vitamins, minerals, fibre and many other disease fighting nutrients.

Also, because green smoothies are loaded with fibre, they are going to keep you full, satisfied and therefore control your hunger

Green Smoothie Recipe
-       Kale – 2 big leaves
-       Spinach – 2 hands full
-       Celery – a small piece
-       Parsley
-       Coriander/Cilantro
-       1 medium cucumber
-       1 big banana
-       1 avocado
-       2 cups of water

The fruits are going to add sweetness and make the smoothie creamy and palatable. I love banana and avocado, but you can choose which fruits you want to use. You can choose from apple, pears, and pineapples. These are all great choices.

I use a regular blender, but if you have something more powerful like a Vitamix it is even better.

Start by pouring the two cups of water in the blender, and then add each ingredient individually.

This mix should add up to 1 litre. I have a 1 litre mason jar at home just to have my green smoothie.

The result is green, beautiful and delicious!
