Artisnal ice cream is always on the pricy side, but flavors like coolhaus' make it worth it. There's always one booze inspired flavor, chocolate beer and pretzels is a personal fav, as well as yummy vegan options at no additional cost, spicy pineapple and horchata are both winners in this division. For those looking to play it a bit less out there goats milk caramel, honeycomb, and a top notch cookies and cream are all solid options that keep the fun close to comfort zone. And did someone say cookies? Because their trademark custom ice cream sandwiches are built off them, each flavor delicious enough to be a standalone dessert. Go during happy hour for a dollar off sandwiches and scoops!

Had the fortune to try their amazing combinations through their food truck at the Yamashiro Farmer's Market. Here're the instructions: Check the menu first before getting in line, it took me while to figure out which combination I wanted to try. Mind you, the menu will change. Both the cookies and the ice cream flavors available. Choose your nicely baked, chewy cookie. If you're an adventurer, you can have two different cookies for your sandwich. Now pick that ice cream flavor that you think will go with it. (I had the fried chicken... yes. it was good.) Now go ahead and see if you can finish it all without it melting first!

Diddy Reese who? and I'm a UCLA grad! haha I finally went to this tasty place and had a great experience. It is small but they have a nice little area to relax and eat your ice cream or whatever treat you decided to indulge in. I went straight for the ice cream cookie. Before deciding on my flavors the very nice girl working behind the counter offered any tastings I wanted. I tried a couple including Fried Chicken & Waffles, Balsamic Fig and Mascarpone, Whiskey, and the Maker's Mark. I chose a mix of the Balsamic and Maker's Mark with a red velvet cook and Almond cookie. All the flavors I sampled were great, but I had to pick and I chose those:P! It was sooooo delicious and I absolutely love the way they make their ice cream with organic all-natural ingredients. It certainly is not as cheap as Diddy Reese but it is worth the price! I can't wait to go again and try different flavors and cookies. I also heard they have a Happy Hour with a discount. My new ice cream stop for cheat days!

Where else can you find whiskey Lucky Charms flavored ice cream? Ice cream sandwiches are fun to customize, and a healthy-sized treat. Small place, not a lot of room to sit down but in a stretch of Culver City that is fairly walkable. Worth a special trip just to check out their brick and mortar shop - and have your pick of all of their imaginative flavors.

Coolhaus Pre-Valentine's Single Party Review This is my first time at this shop and I came here for a Pre-Valentine Mixer for singles. Admission was $20. The store is very small, imagine a small boutique that sells ice cream and cupcakes. The store itself was sufficient for day to day sales, but not to throw a party over 40+ people. The admission price allows you to eat all the ice-cream and Caipirinha you desire. The ad showed open bar, but it wasn't since they only served one type of cocktails. Disappointing for the most part, but luckily I like Caiprinha. One plus was that the DJ was pumping up beats throughout the night for us to side step to step! I like this kind of events because it reminds me of the Art Walk when little boutiques have DJ, drinks, and snacks. I honestly thought that the $20 was going to come with more things, but it didn't. I rather have gone to the event and pay for my own drinks and snacks because I think it would've came out a lot cheaper. Ideas for them to bring more crowd in next time would be little gift bags since the party is so small, finger foods, and games for singles to mix and mingle! Would I come back to an event held here again? Probably not. Would I come back for their ice-cream? Yes! Their ice-cream is really top notch. My favorite I had tasted tonight was Butter with Candied Bacon, yum! I'm still full from all the ice-cream I had tonight....Valentine must hate me!

Could I swoon any harder? This place had my heart wedged in a pistachio and Guinness flavored ice cream cookie sandwich.
