But the left-right dichotomy is flawed and delusional. Inside this paradoxical reality we are born into suppression rather than into liberation. We are lead to believe that someone else must grant us our ability to chase our dreams and that somehow what we had been waiting for (in terms of leadership and guidance) is somehow manifested in this person.
Is this view really that wrong? If you were to think about the political atmosphere for a second you would say that it really isn't that paradoxical. You might think that the agenda pushed forward by either liberals or conservatives is what's needed for a just and liberated society. This is how your subjectivity gets manipulated through a fragmented view.
When following politics it's easy to glaze over the fact that it really is a charade that presents itself as reality. In some ways it is real (in the sense that it manipulates and does pertain to your actuality in very real ways, but often times only to push a particular agenda). But what you see on either side of the continuum (and reality does not exist on a continuum) is a very fragmented and objectified version of reality. You see real people being used as scapegoats.
What can they really do for us that we cannot do individually?
And what can you do about this? My suggestion would be to come to this realization yourself. Sit alone, maybe outside, for 30 minutes and see the way life effectively works itself out on its own. Then go back to watching Fox News, or MSNBC, or CNN. Do you think anything is going to change with an attitude of always needing and desiring something more for change? Of always intervening on everything and manipulating?
Then think about what can be subtracted out of the picture.
Think about non-action.
Since I am not an expert, I'll refer you elsewhere... The quote at the top really sums it all up.
But to me it's a matter of, do you want to willingly contribute to promoting the last sentence in your reply when you absolutely understand (and have manifest proof) that there are other viable and effectual options?
American people: OK. But don't you dare let a crazy radio talk show host fueled by hatred call a random law student a "slut." That's going TOO FAR, and we demand investigation!
p.s. I love America and being an American. Huge country, wealthy, innovative, great people... we rock. But this anti-Constitutional police state slide needs to end NOW. If we don't speak out, who will?
Watch the FOX clip below. The government believes it can kill American citizens now without trial. That's not acceptable.
