Burramine wheat stubble burn off. Travelling up through rural Victoria's wheat belt, it's that time of year for some farmers to burn off the stubble before sowing the new crop. Burn off adds carbon back to the soil and knocks back weeds. The burn is usually done at night when it's still so the smoke hangs around. This burn flared up at the edge of the paddock and just as quickly died out at its firebreak.
