I have an awesome table inside a webpage within a private portal. Viewers are being prompted to login. How do I stop that from happening? I don't want or need to authenticate.

Thanks.

I am trying to develop a solution whereby the following happens: Our group has data in Sheets and I'd like to create a simple, dynamic webpage which calls that data.

For instance: I want to create a "Steam ID" document which, when visited, will summarize those values alone. Then when somebody in our group opens and edits data in the source Sheets document, then that aforementioned webpage would be updated.

I'm not much of a scripter. I kluge together solutions as best I can from webapps that often require minor coding stuffs. Recently, I've learned how to use Awesome-Table (connected to gSheets). I just wanted to provide some context for my abilities.

I'm open to any alternative methodology, too. Just trying to solve that particular problem. Not really caring how it gets done as long as it's not a tedious, manual process.

I have another question for you (having given up with my excessive styling from the last attempt): How would I change the background of the "Productivity Tools" template so that it's clear (and allows the background of the site it's embedded into to show up behind).

I've included a link to the template in question: https://awesome-table.com/-K0lLS7kBNw8d4kQHjiI/preview

I bet money that I need to (somehow) set the background to alpha in the <style> area but I'm prepared to be wrong... again. :)

2 new questions:

1) Expanding upon making the People Directory work a bit more for me, is it possible for me to designate (in template code, I would presume) that the text for a field be omitted if the value is empty? Since the code aggregates all the text from other fields, I'm not sure this is realistic. But it never hurts to ask.

2) Is it possible for me to use a column-value as a tooltip for some other field? I know we can create map tooltips, but am unsure if I can do the same thing to any old field.

Thanks in advance.

I'm quite new to all of this, but am having a truly maddening time trying to add additional fields to the People Directory. Every time I do, I break the thing and it reverts to a basic table. I feel like I'm missing some crucial detail.

UPDATE: Definitely late here. So I realize now that I need to pay much closer attention to the Template tab (and it wouldn't help to brush up on CSS. I get now that data from other fields are hidden (and then aggregated in code) for the 'text field' of the directory.

I just got informed of another great online store for a Chicago-based retailer that sells really great geek-merch. This one will set you back $44 but you need to look your best in the wasteland.

Here's the rare post where you get to see my dumb, white face. My tie-knot's a little crooked - and forgive whatever it is my hair is doing - but anyway, it's what I'm wearing to our office holiday party this afternoon.

Six days ago, I posted a cheap, nice looking Legend of Zelda tie-clip. Today it arrived. Looks pretty damned good, too. The subtlety of the design is quite nice. Anyone who doesn't know about The Triforce will just think it's a bit of designiness.

Do these not look super sharp? Once I have a few more shirts that can sport them, I'll spend the $20 + tax/shipping.

And here is the not so subtle alternate tie. Perfect for your black-dress shirt, it's a tie that quietly says "I'm on fire". http://i1.theportalwiki.net/img/f/fd/Turret_turretshotbylaser05.wav
