So I was really excited about coming to this restaurant because food network Chef Zakarian was supposed to be the chef!!! Let me just start off by saying all the staff are running with there heads chopped off!!! It took the server 15 minutes to come up and even ask what I wanted to drink!! CRAZYYYYY The food wasn't high quality for the price and the drinks were weak!!! It's obvious this restaurant is resting on its acclaimed fame and not its high service or food quality.... What a shame too because I was excited.

Great for business lunches. Service, food, and ambience are great. Dinner highlights are the Steak Tartare appetizer, the Atlantic Cod, and the Salmon salad. They can get busy so do yourself a favor and user Opentable for reservations.

At 6:30-7:30 on a Thursday night the waiter was very attentive. Loved the steak tartar. Enjoyed the paprika fries. The sidekick margarita was delicious. The sparkling water was a ridiculous $7. Would eat here again.

My meal at The National was amazing! The bread basket was a delicious blend of olive bread, white bread, and bread with oats. It was a great first impression of the restaurant. For the first course on the Restaurant Week menu, the Shrimp Salad was delicious. The shrimp was cooked perfectly and seasoned with a lot of flavor. There was grilled peaches in the salad that were just scrumptious on their own. The Gazpacho with avocado and croutons was very refreshing and flavorful. For the main course, the Roast Chicken had an amazing crispy skin and under the chicken was an herbaceous barley risotto. The Grilled Branzino was a great dish with a tasty corn chowder. The Ricotta Cheesecake for dessert was amazing with a unique balsamic ice cream that went great with the cheesecake and figs. The Yogurt Panna Cotta was creamy and scrumptious, sitting in a pool of passion fruit. As a bonus to my meal, I got to meet Geoffrey Zakarian. It was a wonderful meal at The National that I hope to repeat soon.

Could not actually eat here the staff was so rude. The hostess did not even look at my party as we came in the door and whispered something to the waitress as she seated us. Sat us near the bar with the entire restaurant empty and did not pay any attention to my party. Of all the restaurants I have been in all over the world this was the worst and I didn't actually get to try the food which from other reviews I heard was great. A real shame.

This is listed as business casual, but, it is so much more. Had great time celebrating a friend's birthday here. I made a reservation on line and asked for a great table which I got. Eat steak and love their fries.
