Jake’s Del Mar brings new American cooking to the edge – to the water’s edge that is. Located right on the beach in Del Mar Chef Duvinh Ta uses fresh, seasonal products as the inspiration for updating classic preparations of fresh fish, shellfish and premium meats. The lunch, dinner, and Sunday brunch menus showcase clean, eclectic flavors and local, sustainable products that are complemented by Jake’s jaw dropping location on the sand. The nightly Chef’s Special is a seasonal creation that features the best seafood, meats and produce available and through the Legacy of Aloha program, Jake’s donates a portion the proceeds from the Chef’s Special to the San Diego Food Bank.

Love this place, beautiful view, good food, good drinks. Only gave four stars because I'm not a huge fan of Sunday brunch with them but lunch and dinner is awesome! Had the seafood pot with mussels, scallop, some type of white fish, shrimp and saffron rice, it was a bit salty for my taste; I think I would have preferred it if it was more of a chowder or bisque. I've been here for there lunch and dinners and those were fantastic!

If you are in the area make sure to check out Jake's. Great service but more importantly food is amazing. They also have great happy hour with calamari to die for.

Seashore restaurant. Packed. So-so food, very pricey, but good service. Your call. For me, it's a poor value.

Great staff and awesome location, with enclosed spaces right on the beach. They also have a reasonably extensive gluten free menu. Food overall was a mixed bag - no one at my table disliked their food, but only half the table was thrilled with their dish. I would definitely go again, it's a good high-end restaurant with a casual vibe.

Its good food. And a phenomenal view if you can get a seat by the water. But its an uninspired menu. And the food is again good... Definitely not great. The Hua pie is all hype. This is a place you go to spend money, not to enjoy fine cuisine.

We always go for their happy hour. Great deals. I also get the sweet potato tater tots as they are amazing. Best drink is the dukes Mai Tai.

Lovely experience for brunch! I let Jakes know we had a wheelchair bound guest when I made the reservation. We arrived to a window seat on the beach. Our wait staff was extraordinary in serving us, made many accommodations for the handicapped person in our party. The food was fantastic, we had the lobster sandwich and an italian sandwich. Made for a very special day!
