Dark, dirty, and just kind of lame. One star is generous. I have never had a good experience here. The store is clearly very poorly run and in need of new management. Most of the employees are rude and unresponsive. Every time I've looked at the prepared foods they look terrible, like they've been sitting for two or three days. Not appetizing at all! I have tried ordering cases of items from this location (Whole Foods offers discounts on full cases of many items) but never receive calls about when they come in. In fact I have never gotten any of the items I've ordered. I never had these kinds of problems at the Reston or Vienna locations. Don't waste your time at this location. The Vienna store is only a few miles away, has a way nicer staff, and the store is much much cleaner. Before you consider shopping here, maybe there is something to the fact that every review of this store for the past year is one star.

My wife went to the Whole Foods in Falls Church to buy some nice fish for my birthday dinner. We were very disappointed and upset when that ordered two Red Snappers for $35 and asked for them to be fileted. Not only were the cuts jagged like they were done with a dull knife, but the filets were not deboned. Now maybe we should have asked to have it deboned rather than assume when it is fileted it is deboned, but we would expect someone that sells fish for a perceived quality store like Whole Foods, would either debone the fish already, or at least ask if she would like it deboned. To pay $35 for two fish and then have to spend a long time picking out the bones with tweezers, really ruined the whole experience. Is this the typical poor service to expect from this Whole Foods or was it just a mistake by the employee? Who knows. We emailed them to find out and will see if they respond.

The parking lot is CROWDED, and the people who shop there are rude. The management has re-designed the store to take more aisles, which creates MUCH less browsing space for the customers to select their items. Not all of the employees can speak English, which can be annoying. Some of the checkout employees are arrogant. We've gone there so many times, that we know which ones are arrogant and snippy, and which ones have a better attitude. The honey section has SEVERAL containers of honey which has SOLIDIFIED, and is UNACCEPTABLE for sale. Sometimes, they bake cornbread with Jalapeno peppers in it. This is not a valid recipe, and I believe the workers purposely do this because they know the store will not sell any of this cornbread, and they can then take free food home with them. They sell prepared chicken thighs with spinach and cheese in it and they will PURPOSELY put EXTREMELY hot peppers in it WITHOUT DISCLOSING the fact that they have put the hot peppers in the chicken. This has happened to us at least 15 times in the past 2 years. The management does not listen to you as a customer, and it does not do ANY good to complain. They have customarily put extremely hot peppers in the meat, such as the chicken and also fish because the food has become old, and this is a tactic that they are using to mask the unfreshness and spoiled nature of the food that is starting to rot. They allow panhandlers to browse around in the store who annoy and harass and bother the other customers by asking them for money so that they can buy bottles of their overpriced wine and other food items, that these panhandlers should be paying for themselves. In conclusion, it is EXTREMELY UNPLEASANT to shop at this store, and I will do EVERYTHING in my power to procure as many items from OTHER STORES so that I DON'T have to go to this particular Whole Foods.

This location is a bit of a let down compared to other Whole Foods. Maybe its the location (strip mall), the fact it that it is a smaller store?? Parking is always an issue - not Whole Food's fault! They should do something about their appearance and parking and store size if possible. May be move to Falls Church on the other side of I-66?
