“I am not an animal lover, I am a conservationist. I have no sentimental attachment to any one animal that I want to save at any cost like the animal lovers do. To save a species, if some animals have to be sacrificed for larger good, that is fine with me”, Goutam had said passionately.

Thanks +Able Lawrence - I agree, what you explain has been very well documented. That is why I called my thoughts pure speculation. Actually my question was - what kind of events and how old prehistoric are recorded in myths that are part of oral histories. Like the myths of American Indians that hint on crossing the ice-bridge to the Americas. :)
