Question to the group: I put a link to a post here yesterday and I see it's not here anymore. I see it on my home stream but there is a strikethrough on the link to this community. Anyone know why this is? Thanks. =)

+Nancy Masse, I don't think the idea is to limit the discussion of concepts, but to limit the overload of one topic on the feed. Moderators have to be aware that potential members look at the feed to see if there's a good mix.

Conversation can easily start when someone comments on an existing post. G+ is the best platform I've seen for conversations. The key is to start engaging on other people's posts and find others who will do the same.

Nice Infographic, great rules.

Check out some rules of Social Media in this infographic.

Read it and share your opinions. :)

Looks like a pretty solid info-graphic to me, +Nancy Masse.

I think my favorite is "Stop and ask if an actual person would talk that way" (but they're all pretty good). I always try to remember that when I'm interacting with people on social media that they are real people and we're engaging in a conversation. I try to the same things online that I'd say in person.

Thanks for sharing. Have a great day!

(By the way - this reminded me how much I miss you on social media, Nancy)

Plumbing Rescue
1429 Massaro Boulevard, Tampa, FL 33619
I cannot say enough good things about these guys! What I thought was a simple clog due to a previous plumber's sloppy work, was actually a massive root invasion that clogged almost half my line (the ton of grease in there from a previous owner and the fact that it was 60-year-old terra cotta pipe didn't help either). I was devastated because the guy from Lowe's (back when I thought I could fix it myself... LOL) had the same problem and it cost him over $10,000! I had nowhere near that kind of money and was ready to cry but the supervisor talked to the guy at the top and together, they worked out an affordable solution that will not bankrupt me.
Plus, the quality of their work is outstanding! Thanks to Mike, Steve, Brandon and the rest of the team, I will probably never need a plumber ever again... but if I do, these are the ~only~ people I will ever call!
Oh, and they offer a military discount, which I think is respectful.
Quality Excellent

This sounds like one really great plumping company to do business with, +Lola Granola. I have no idea if I can take advantage of them while I'm living in Virginia but if I ever move to Florida I'll be sure to keep them in mind!

How does something like this even happen? KnowYourMeme.com outlines all the sordid details on what has to be the worst PR/social media gaffe I've ever seen. Hell, "gaffe" is too nice of a word. I just can't fathom how this man has a company that lands clients! Well.... he definitely ~had~ a company that landed clients... once.

Marketing/PR words to live by. The last one may be the most important. Here's a quick tip: If you're doing a direct mail piece, the MOST IMPORTANT area of real estate is the side where the address goes.
ALL mail comes delivered address side UP! The hardest thing to do in direct mail is to get the recipient to take a second to flip your mail piece over before it goes in the trash. =)

In the midst of writing pr campaign for two things I'll be rolling out over this next year and this was a great list to keep in mind. Some were obvious but on the whole it gives very sound advice. Thanks for posting this sweets!

Ugh. Already regretting the decision to put the hashtag that was part of quote from my post on Facebook today. I bet I'll be bombarded with "Tweener" ads by tomorrow. ;D #ThanksYOLO

Unbelievable. +Progressive Insurance has completely destroyed its reputation and has probably lost hundreds of thousands of customers due to stereotypical practices followed by incredibly bad PR. There's no way to spin yourselves out of this folks. The bottom line: the other driver's insurance company paid right away and the fact that you put this poor family (the family of your CUSTOMER) through hell for a year over $75,000 is unconscionable!

I didn't like Progressive to begin with because of the way they TRACK your driving habits by tricking customers into putting their tracking devices in their cars to "save money," but this takes the cake.

I will never be their customer and I hope people who are will re-think that decision.

I love following you on Google+, +Lola Granola. One post is all about a great company to do business with and the next is about a company to avoid at all costs. It's like you're the super cool version of the better business bureau.

Lucky for me I find Progressive's TV commercials really annoying so I've never given them a shot at my business. It looks like my system for choosing who to do business with is working like a charm.

Have a great weekend!

The local news did a story on my dad tonight. It made me cry when I saw the video footage they had of him (he passed away 11 years ago). It made me miss him so damn much but they were still happy tears.
