Your dream car from the United Kingdom or Japan will soon be more affordable with the Australia Government set to waive the $12,000 special duty commencing in 2018 for personal #importedusedcars or motor cycles. The #importedvehicle must have comparable standards to Australia, be a right-hand drive passenger vehicle, be no more than 12 months old and have no more than 500km on the odometer. The changes will also improve existing arrangements for the importation of rare, exotic, classis, collectable and special purpose vehicles, providing the vehicle is at least 25 years old, under the new arrangements.
