A few questions/comments for DearMYRTLE: 1) Solved a bunch of technical problems with my laptop and my smartphone with a new router. I never thought of doing that! 2) I'm trying to promote MWM and other DearMYRTLE hangouts but I want to know if I'm doing it in the most efficient manner. For example, I just posted on our new WMGS indexing group on the WMGS FB page, my Old Bones FB page and my personal page. I added the link but thought I could do more. 3) In spite of everything working to near perfection, it still seems to take an inordinate amount of time for hangouts.dearmyrtle.com to open. And 4) Jus' tryin' to do the right thing!

Come visit Hangouts with Dear Myrtle, your friend in genealogy... Every Monday at noon Eastern friendly people from all over the world (US, Canada, Scotland, Wales, England, Australia...) gather together to talk about all things genealogically oriented. No agenda, completely freeform. Watch and listen or ask a question in the chat. You may have something big or small to contribute. (The message below may reference 10 AM but that's Mountain Time. That's noon for us eastern folks!)

Here's some insight...and just in time... that may prove helpful as we begin our indexing project. Our first meeting will be 21 June 2017 in the computer lab at the Agawam Senior Center, 954 Main Street, Agawam, MA. We're signing people up only because of space limitations so if you're interested, contact +Dave Robison and I'll get you on the list.

Because this is a community of genealogical friends, I want to share with you all that I just spoke with John Laws via a Google video call. The good news is he's well on his way back to health and is feeling quite good but he has a long way to go after 5+ weeks of medical care. His address is at the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh, 51 Little France Drive, Edinburgh, EH 16 45A, UK in case you'd like to send him a note of encouragement.
