The staff inside the post office is very nice and friendly, the delivery workers on the other hand seem to have no idea what they're doing. I've lived in Coppell almost a year now and whenever our regular postman is out, the substitutes are horrible. Like today, I have four very important packages to be delivered today. As of an hour ago, he has marked my packages as delivered, yet he hasn't even by my complex yet. I checked my mailbox, nothing. I went by the office, nothing. This isn't the first time he's done this. Same thing happened last week, only he didn't even bother trying to deliver my package. He just took it back to the post office for me to pick up. When I went to get it, I was told that he was "going to attempt delivery AGAIN tomorrow". He never attempted delivery the first time! The post office closes in 15 minutes, and I've been trying to call for the past 30 and keep getting a busy signal. And they wonder why they're bleeding money and losing business to UPS and FedEx...

This was one of the worst jobs I ever had. It's another glorified call center that's all about numbers, statistics, and call times with very little care for actual customer service. You can't have a single call go over five minutes without a supervisor or "floor walker" harassing you about what's taking so long. They changed policies and procedures so many times that no one knew what was going on. On any given day, you'll have three different supervisors telling you three different ways to handle an issue and each one is right when the others are wrong. You are nothing more than a statistic there. Oh, and forget about your numbers and performance being confidential and private. My supervisor shared information with everyone and would publicly humiliate and put down anyone under performing in front of everyone. Speaking of, the supervisors and higher ups were some of the most racist and sexist people I ever met in my life. Don't expect to move up in the company unless you're a woman or black. During my time there, I only saw one non-black move up, and that's only because she complained to HR about others with better numbers being overlooked. Also, be prepared to be yelled at for wearing sneakers or jeans, but it's ok to wear clothes with gang/drug/alcohol affiliations and pants hanging off your ass by a thread once again, as long as you're black. Don't waste your time applying here. You better not get sick or have a family member pass away. I was sick for a week with the flu, and when I came back I had a doctor's note. My supervisor told me directly, "That doesn't mean anything", and I still got written up. I had a co-worker had a family member pass away and he was on leave and they went ahead and fired him. He was only rehired after he presented a death certificate. You're only setting yourself up for failure. Look them up. They have one of the highest turn over rates of any major company in DFW.
