Is martial law already in place without calling that?

A few days ago, I wrote an article about some of what you will find at a pharmacy in the Philippines.

I never shared it here so here you go. Most of us are getting old so most of us have at least one medication. Me, I have around 20. I'd be well off here if not for that. tongue emoticon On the other hand, if I didn't have these problems I would have been in the USA for the last seven years as I finally reached retirement age last month. smile emoticon

Broken Spirit

You with the sad eyes
Don't be discouraged
Oh I realize
It's hard to take courage
In a world full of people
You can lose sight of it all
And the darkness inside you
Can make you feel so small

        Cyndi Lauper

This child is so sad. Easy to see in his face. He lives on the street. I have no seen him in about a week. I hope he is okay.

He is soft spoken and well mannered. I can't imagine what horrors he has endured to make him take to the streets. Abuse? Lost parents? I do not know but this child is not happy living on the streets.

He often keeps to himself. Often a bundled up mass with his cardboard bed, sleeping on the sidewalk and totally covered from head to foot in whatever rag he can find to cover himself with.

I would bring him to my room and take care of him if I could but I would be arrested. Sad state this world has come to.

Paying your bills in the Philippines is one of the things that falls a bit short of paradise. ;)  I discuss some of the heavenly details here: How have you delt with this? Like me? Send someone else to do it? haha ;)

The photo is of a girl that works near the hotel. Admitted, to get your attention. She's sweet and shy. Took a year to get a picture of her. :)

Ripple of Love.
My dreams have not changed. This time last year I was in hell. A Typhoon Yolanda refugee. My partners son was missing and I was without a home that I could live in.

Some people helped me. Then some people asked me to tell my story on Google Hangout to help raise money for victims.

That is when I realized that

*A lot of people helping a little bit together will have a major impact. *

You can do this you have the ability to make a difference and to help make the world a better place.

You can use social media to create a

*Ripple of Love. *

Don't let anything make you think you can't. You can do it. You can remind others to do it. Those with more followers may come to understand they can do it not just to make money but to do good.

The Black Eyed Peas asked us, where is the love? Take a chance. Climb out on that limb and show them the love.

Photo is of a child sleeping on the sidewalk outside of my hotel.

Filipina are wonderful as a general rule but anytime you’re trying to find a mate you’re in risky territory. Also, you can’t approach Filipina like you would a Western woman, your approach needs to be far more reserved in most cases. When that’s not required you probably found your first red flag.

These two ladies are beautiful and probably both are angels. I don’t know them but I sure would like too. I took their picture out in the province of Cebu in Bogo City. A place I lived for five years. It was probably my last trip back there.

There are some danger signs and many think you need to know about the Philippines that you will learn from the Basic Expat Training Manual.

I have lived here for more than five years now. I know many wonderful woman, loved a woman for more than five years and it still went bad. I can help you avoid the pitfalls. I can’t promise you paradise. I can increase your odds of success substantially.

There are many other things you can learn from me about moving to the Philippines. I tell it just like I just like I see it. No extra fluff, no unwarranted doom either. The Philippines can be a wonderful place and it can be a harsh place. What’s in the manual will help you. I wrote it because it was what I wished I had known before I moved here in February of 2008.

There is still much pain in suffering in the Philippines. Please help +Habitat for Humanity rebuild the Philippines
Six Children and Mother Killed by Fire in Tacloban Tent City
Seven More NEW Haiyan Victims in Tacloban

Do you think the problem for the Philippines caused by Typhoon Haiyan is over?   Its not over. Last month, an entire family was wiped out except for the father who was not in the tent when it burned.

This happened just last month.  There is still a large tent city in Tacloban full of those left homeless by Typhoon Yolanda

The need is real please share, please donate if you can. Please share this ripple of love.

Do you wish to move to the Philippines? Maybe you’re interested but you are not sure.

I was in the same position over five years ago and I didn't know what I needed to know. So I wrote the:

Basic Expat Training Manual

With people like you and like I was in mind.

The manual will provide you with what you need to know. If you find that you need to more, you can email me with your specific questions. I’ll do my best to answer them.

You’ll get my firsthand 5+ years of boots on the ground experience with an e-book that you can download in two volumes that is more than 250 pages long that you can read at your leisure. I suggest you read it now and read it again on that long flight to the Philippines.
