A recent writing contest questioned whether the Internet had changed the Human experience and questioned whether we were still in control of the technology. The winner of the contest managed to convince people we were still in control of the technology. I think it was only because they hadn't looked deeply enough into the infrastructure of how we use the Internet. From the perspective of a technology user, you have the illusion of still being in control. From the inside, the truth is more insidious.
