I enjoy preparing clients for their case and for depositions. It is a challenge, but worth the effort.

Insurance adjusters are trained to make you believe they care. They are even hired based on how well they can do the whole 'fake care' thing. But even I am surprised at this new low. The 'fake health check' of a widow.

And there is where the game really got rigged. Under the old law when you went back to work, the Commission could evaluate how solid the job is for you. The commission would look at the job for what it is, a fake job. And if you have industrial disability then you got paid for the loss of earning capacity. After all a broken washing machine that has been fixed isn’t likely to last.

It may be a matter of style, but seriously, you the client should not be arguing your case. Advocating in your own case is unnecessary, unless you are the lawyer. Clients do not have to advocate for themselves.

The Iowa legislature took away many of the benefits for Iowa's injured workforce. Don't be a victim, let's fight back and vote against those who are destroying the middle class workforce.

You see, there are two parts of every case. The first is liability and the second would be proof of her damages. Leaving out one and you lose. Leave out two and you really lose. But you never get to damages if you cannot first prove liability. And that is axiomatic of the problems I constantly see with people not seeking representation right after the accident. They assume because they are “really hurt” that everything else will fall into place.
