Introduction
An entrepreneur and award-winning author, Eric M. Jackson is a Los Angeles-based entrepreneur who advises startups and nonprofits on their product and business strategies. He previously oversaw marketing for the online payment service PayPal, where he helped catapult the dot-com from losing $10 million per month to profitability and an initial public offering. Jackson served as PayPal’s Senior Director of U.S. marketing, as well as the interim Vice President of Marketing following its 2002 acquisition by eBay.

After leaving PayPal, Jackson founded World Ahead Media, a publishing house with a free market editorial focus, and served as its Chairman and CEO. He guided the company to profitability and national prominence, including a New York Times bestseller and multiple book club selections-of-the-month. World Ahead was acquired by WorldNetDaily.com in January 2008 and renamed WND Books.

Jackson serves on the boards of directors and advisory boards for several companies and early-stage ventures. His book, The PayPal Wars: Battles with eBay, the Media, the Mafia, and the Rest of Planet Earth, won the Writers Notes Book Award for best business book, and was hailed by Tom Peters as “the best description of ‘business strategy’ unfolding in a world changing at warp speed.”

An outspoken advocate of personal liberty, Jackson has appeared on Fox News, CNN, ABC News, MSNBC’s “Hardball,” Comedy Central’s “The Daily Show,” and numerous other TV and radio programs. He has been quoted in publications such as ForbesPublishers WeeklyThe Wall Street JournalThe New York Times and BusinessWeek
