My article touching on the human side of the new colorectal cancer screening recommendations...
My grandfather died of colorectal cancer when my mother was 13 years old, a catastrophic event that tore his family apart.1 When I was a child and even a young adult, his death seemed to me more an abstraction than a tragedy that unfolded slowly, devastating people I love. Things change. In my...

"This long-overdue admission that Congress is not a small business shines a klieg light on the fact that members of Congress and their staffs are receiving health insurance and a subsidy of up to $12,000 each through a program from which federal law categorically bars them. It lays bare that government officials have systematically violated both the ACA and criminal laws to facilitate illegal, taxpayer-funded gifts to members of Congress."

And don't forget to register for the Cato Institute's event on the ‪#‎MillennialMandate‬ this Wednesday, featuring Jay Bhattacharya, and Asako Moriya. (Click here to register: http://www.cato.org/events/obamacares-millennial-mandate-what-does-it-cost-what-it-buying-us.)
ObamaCare’s Millennial mandate may be the perfect crime. Politicians hand out benefits, but no one can tell who’s paying.

Two recent Supreme Court rulings -- one Justice Kagan, the other by Justice Scalia -- have dealt with issues of statutory interpretation so similar that we can insert the facts from Halbig and create our own Supreme Court opinions.

The quality of care in America’s health care sector is as bad as the customer service. Stossel may think he’s getting “excellent medical care.” But he doesn’t know it, and neither do his doctors, because there is no market system to show how much better it could be.

This is why opponents fight ObamaCare. The law makes it harder, not easier, for sick people to find secure, high-quality health coverage.

I blogged.
The best we can hope for is to minimize the potential for conflicts that impede the growth of medical knowledge. Kudos to Dr. Steven E. Nissen for taking a confidence-inspiring step in that direction.

Senate leaders can all but guarantee that full repeal can pass the Senate with just 51 votes.

The Progressive Left has supported universal coverage for 100 years without any reliable evidence that it would improve human well-being, and shows no inclination to abandon or even to qualify that support despite the lack of such evidence.
