Why do so many people stay stuck in jobs they hate?
It's always something I've thought about, but I think I finally figured it out...

So, apparently that last video I put up on Youtube had some streaming errors.
So, I've made a few changes and reloaded it.

Every service you offer adds complexity to your business...

...pricing, quotes, tools, etc.

Most handyman think that the more services they offer the better.

Yet, I've found that the majority of my profits come from a few specific services and the more I focus on those, the more money I make and the easier my business is to operate.

One of the first projects I took on as DIY homeowner was replacing my windows.
That was about 7 years ago and I had no idea what I was doing. I watched YouTube videos for days trying to figure it out. It was frustrating because no videos covered what I needed to know.
That's why I created this latest video. In fact, that's why I create every blog post, video, or training course you see on Handyman Startup.
I want people to walk away thinking "I can do this." Because the truth is - you can.

One of my #1 marketing strategies for my handyman business is content marketing.

Basically, I'll write an article that will attract my ideal customers, and then use that article to promote my services.

Here's an example of how I'm doing this using YouTube and my blog to attract readers to Handyman Startup.

The same process works for handyman services, or pretty much any other business in the world.

I'm a big Tesla fan ever since I read Elon Musk's biography and I think this is a brilliant idea.

Elon Musk & SolarCity CTO Peter Rive Announce “Solar Roof”

I have spoken to a few people about solar roofs, but it has always been in the sense that it is something that should be done on a large scale, but isn't being done.

Well it looks like that is going to change, which is a good thing.
Originally published on SolarLove. Speaking to analysts and investors during the Q2 earnings call for SolarCity on August 9, Elon Musk went into detail about his plans for what he calls the

If you've never worked on a customers home as a handyman, the thought of it can be a little intimidating. It may even be scary enough to keep you from starting your business.

If that's the case, then check out my latest article where I share how I got over this fear even though I had VERY little handyman experience.

Pricing your services is challenging. Not only do you need to know how much to charge, you need to convince yourself to actually charge that much.
