Presenter: Jerry Avila has over 20 years of international banking experience in both the public and private sectors. During his career as an international trade specialist, Avila managed Barclay’s trade finance activities sector in various states; he was appointed by Governor Gray Davis as the Director of the California Export Finance Office (CEFO) and subsequently as the Acting Director of the Office of Small Business. Mr. Avila also worked at the U.S. serving as the Northern California, Northern Nevada, Hawaii and Guam Regional Manager promoting SBA’s International Programs by working directly with leaders and California business.

Jeff also serves as the team leader for all of the SBA’s export finance officers in the Western U.S. Prior to joining SBA, Jeff was Involved in commercial lending at USDA Rural Development where he was responsible for delivering a variety of financing programs to address the needs of rural communities.
