This place is an amazing find. It gets crowded so be prepared to wait if you don't have a reservation or call-ahead. The food is absolutely delicious. I've ordered the crabs, crawfish, shrimp, sausage, etc and EVERYthing is divine! You will love it, promise. Pro tip: It gets messy, so dress down.

Who would have thought Woodley Park offers more than just the zoo? I've passed this place more times than I can count but only stepped in for Cajun seafood last night. They don't take reservations, it's first-come, first-serve. We had to wait about 40 minutes for a table of six, which wasn't too bad. We ordered two orders of "The Drool," which included an order of calamari, a pound of crawfish, a pound of shrimp, half a pound of snow crab legs, a dozen of andouille sausages, two corn and two potatoes. This is a great deal at only $42. I was pretty full by the time our bag of Drool was done but still had room for when we ordered one more "Get Your Feet Wet" to share, which is the same as "The Drool" without snow crab legs or calamari for $28. I like the seafood in the Hot N Juicy seasoning and extra spicy level. Honestly, the extra spicy isn't that spicy for me, but I eat spicy food at the time. It had a nice flavor to it for sure though. We all chowed down crawfish, shrimp, and snow crab legs like it was our job. The crawfish are pretty big (definitely larger than the crawfish I've gotten at Chasin' Tails in Arlington). The snow crab legs were also huge and we got 3-4 legs in each bag. In terms of price and content size, Hot N Juicy is a fantastic deal. Only downside about Hot N Juicy is that they don't serve sweet tea, which seems like a scandal in terms of Cajun seafood. However, their happy hour specials are money! Both domestic and international beers are only $1.50 during happy hour which runs until 9pm on weeknights (not sure about weekends). Also, kudos to our wonderful server. I unfortunately didn't catch her name, but she was super friendly and attentive and made the experience even better. I had a great time here with friends and would definitely come back and recommend this place to others.

Delicious, and great service! Our waiter was attentive and fun, and the music was turned down enough that we could have a large group and still hear each other. The food itself was a ton of fun to eat, but extremely messy! Be sure to tie your bib tight to prevent stains. We got crawfish (not a lot of meat in their tails and claws, but a classic), shrimp (a better, meatier choice), sausage, corn (delicious!), oysters, and mussels. The mussels were good, but the oysters weren't as fresh or flavorful as they could have been. I recommend the hot and juicy sauce/spice combo over the mild. The spiciest option is also very good, and not as spicy as you'd think--more garlicky. Cajun fries were also delicious. They also have a great deal for $1.50 beers from noon to 9pm, Monday through Wednesday. Great place to go for a fun eating experience with people you know well enough to get very messy around.

This no-frills sidewalk joint is ideally located directly across the street from the Woodley Park metro. They offer a whole host of perfectly steamed sea creatures including shrimp, crawfish, crab, as well andoulle sausage, potatoes, and corn, all mixed together in a large plastic bag, shaken vigorously, and served directly on a plastic table with nearly a dozen different bottled beers. You choose from the sauces (Louisiana, lemon pepper, and a few others but the house favorite, "Hot & Juicy" is definitely the way to go. You also pick your level of spiciness from mild to extra spicy. The middle of the road "medium" has plenty of kick. On a nice evening, there can be a long wait for the crowded outside tables. Take advantage of the plastic gloves or your fingers will smell like garlic for the next 3 days.

If you like seafood, check out the amazing crawfish feast at Hot N Juicy. The seafood specials come in huge bags of spice-filled crawfish, shrimp, and sausage combos. Be sure to don your plastic bibs and put aside lots of paper napkins -- it's going to get messy! Try their $1.50 happy hour deals on any domestic or imported beer.
