I have never had such an insulting experience as the last time I visited Monti's. Working at the bar is a young Asian-American woman, an admitted felon, who wouldn't stop bothering me while I ate my food. This not only happened once, but twice when I went in she showed up and wouldn't stop talking to me. She made insulting (anti-American) racial insinuations and spent a considerable time making fun of my disability. When I complained to the manager he ignored my concerns totally, and maid it clear that he protects his own. He then threatened me with violence while forcing me to leave. Obviously, at Montis the customer is always wrong and if you complain they treat you like trash. Don't expect hospitality or respect from these people, because in their minds - it's all about them.

Ive been a customer since the 60's. It was consistently a pleasure, now a hit and miss. When its a miss, its really in the trees. Would be nice if they had a mesquite grill. But then like so many things of the past, quantity (price) is in lieu of quality.

I thought the historic building and the haunted ghost stories were cool. The service was slow. Our group was slow to be seated and drinks were not refilled in a timely manner. The cost of the food made me feel like I would have had a high quality meal. I was disappointed to find the taste to be very middle of the road and not worth the money. I wonder if the restaurant has changed hands because it did not live up to the expectations that preceded it.

I went here for my birthday dinner and I had the SALTIEST STEAK EVER! Everyone elses food were fine. But mine was super salty. I told our waiter about it then the manager came by and told me that it was impossible because they season everything the same. He tried to have me choose something else, yet everyone else was already finished eating. I will never go back here.

I'm very sad to hear your closing the doors. My family came there to be together in 2000 just before my youngest son went into the Navy. We had such a great time and the food was great too! He's home now, but we will always remember what a fun place it was. there was about 12 of us to celebrate. Seems like only yesterday.. Happy Trails to you and yours

Our Server was Steve, and he was excellent. The bread basket was fantastic, the rosemary bread, and the creamy butter were amazing. Ordered the guacamole; very creamy, great flavor, enjoyed that very much. The entree came with salad and a soup. The soup was chicken tortilla soup. Really excellent handmade soup, with lots of chicken, lots of veggies. Delicious! For my entree I had the prime rib; it was the perfect temperature, and served with creamy horseradish, and a delicious au jus. I have been to Monti's previously, but it had been a while. I was happy to recall what I'd been missing.

My family use to eat there every week for years. Always had great steaks and the bread is to die for. But then the son took it over and ruined it. Jacked up prices way to high and made portions smaller. Still good food but can get as good of a steak from outback and still have $ for cold stone after.

$40 porterhouse steak cooked on a flat top, same quality you would get at a Denny's. Listed as 24 ounces was closer to 18. Wife's $27 fillet was ordered medium and served rare, she sent it back and it was recooked in a microwave(Do you think we are idiots). Bread is still good and beer was cold. If you remember this place from your childhood, go and order a basket of bread and a beer and keep your fond memories. Mine have been ruined. $114 tab for two worth about $35. Shame on you Michael.
