Went in for dinner this evening and while eating my salad I found a hair! I am a hairdresser so I understand that this does happen sometimes. By the way it was not my hair, my dining companions or one from work because I did not work today. The waiter was excellent and brought me another salad. One of the owners came to my table and apologized and I politely said it happens sometimes. Maybe I was way to nice because I ended up paying full price for the bill! No free soda, no free entrée, and not even an offer to buy dessert. A little goes a long way. Try and show some customer appreciation!

Carrabba's always provides an enjoyable evening for my family and I. It's a relaxing atmosphere (with soothing music always playing) with friendly, attentive service. The mussels, calamari and bruschette are all great ways to begin your meal. I would choose the blackberry sangria over the tastes a bit sweeter & is yummier (although both versions are really good). Other tasty drink options are their Cosmopolitans and Pomegranate Martinis. My two favorite meals here are the Spiedino Di Mare (shrimp & scallops coated with Italian breadcrumbs & sautéed in a lemon butter sauce) and the Chicken Bryan (grilled chicken with goat cheese, sun-dried tomatoes and a basil lemon sauce). For dessert, have the Tiramisú and a cappuccino -- always a great pairing. Not a fan of Tiramisú? Have the Dessert Rosa -- Perfect combo of butter cake topped with pastry cream, strawberries, bananas, pineapple and whipped cream.

First time dining here, not sure what to expect. Food was better than expected. Our server was very pleasant and knowledgeable about the menu. We will definitely go back. The price included appetizer, meal, and glass of wine.

This place sucks. We called hrs ahead to reserve a time and when we got there, it took them more than an hour to seat us. The hostess was really rude to us when asked how much longer we had to wait. The portions are small compared to other restaurants. The customer service is a ZERO.

Incredible how bad the food is, but place is busy! Food is swimming in oil; not just normal Italian-style amounts, but literally can see quarter inch of oil in bottom of serving dishes. Salad is weak- almost all lettuce, no tomatoes. Food not expensive in absolute terms, but overpriced for what you get, particularly the pasta. The bread is mediocre, which is actually a better rating than the main dishes. Place is also extremely noisy, but maybe some folks like this.

Get a life people. This is the Chicago area. How can anyone in their right mind say that this food is good? There are so many sallow family owned Italian eateries around the area that have FAR better food and serice. I have been to this restaurant at the request of family on 5 occasions, each time they didn't fail to disappoint in some way. More than once I had large portions of our order lost, and one time EVERYTHING we ordered was missed due to a computer mishap. It took over an hour to correct.
