I love this new library! The space is well designed, bright and inviting with a variety of sitting areas, a comfortable room with a fireplace, growing collection of books for all ages, current magazines, news papers, CD's, audio books state of the art technology including Ipads that are available to borrow. The library also offers programs for all ages, story time, meditation and computer class are just a few. The library is a great community resource especially for the residents of Fox Chapel and O'Hara.

The library itself is great. All of the librarians that have helped me have been wonderful, and the free knitting club is a great service to the community. My children and I really enjoy going to the children's area to read books and play with the train table. The librarian who hosts the toddler story-time, however, is another situation, and the reason I am only giving two stars. When my son finally turned 2, we went to story-time. The story-teller was boring, and even I lost interest. My son also became bored, and when he started trying to leave the room, the librarian announed that only 2 year olds are eligible to come to story-time (my son has a medical condition and is small for his age). However, her 5 month old grandbaby was in the room. I don't expect a 2 year old to act like a 42 year old and sit still and be quiet during an entire story-time, but I was trying to get him to sit with me. I really hope they find another librarian to host story-time and make it fun for me and my son. Until then we will be going to a different location for story-time.
