Lisa D. DeNeal is the author of the urban crime novel, "Dead Lies"(amazon.com) and co-author of "Unflappable"(www.unflappable-book.com) and "The Panthers Club"(amazon.com, bn.com, etc.). DeNeal is also a correspondent and columnist for the Post-Tribune of Northwest Indiana and a former writer for Kiwanis and Port of Harlem magazines.

Recipient of various awards including the National Council of Negro Women's Tina M. White Humanitarian Award, Neal-Marshall Alumni Club of Northwest Indiana's Emerging Leadership Award, Outstanding Service Award for Excellence in HIV/AIDS Media/Awareness, Appreciation Award from the Gary War Memorial Committee for continuous coverage of local military veterans and events.
