Even though we love and believe in the Christ of faith as portrayed in the Gospels, the human side of our mind might like to have a thorough and accurate biographical history of Jesus that supplements the Gospels. We could think of this as if Abraham Lincoln had been assassinated without a thing being known about him other than that he had been President. Upon his death, we probably would have wanted to know when and where he was born, where he studied law, what kind of a lawyer he was in Illinois before he became President, his role in the Civil War. And how did it come about that a majestic memorial was built personifying him sitting in a chair? More on the historical Jesus here: http://stpaulcatholic.blogspot.com/2015/07/the-historical-jesus.html
