Well folks, just wanted to give a quick testimony of the providence of God.
At about 1 a.m. this morning my dad woke me and my brothers up and told us that all of our sheep had gotten out.

Which if that was the end of the story it might have been of no importance, except that he was talking about a pasture that was 8 miles away, that is was -40 degrees, and that there are virtually no fences because of modern agriculture for miles around.

Long story short, we were able to get the sheep back in.

When we first got up to the pasture and started working, I had to walk  through the middle of the flock; and it struck me how obviously attached they were to us.

When we first saw them from the road, they were spread out completely around a house, but when we got there, and I started going through - and ahead of them talking to them, their whole disposition changed from that of huddling in small groups around this property, to hearing my voice and the whole flock following me eagerly.

It reminded me of John 10:27, which says: "My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me."

I can't go into all of the details, but at the end of the day, God was glorified.

The Cory family also learned some lessons, and hopefully will learn from them.

After we had completed this, I was rehearsing the morning over, thinking on every situation that had occurred, every smallest detail;

and thought of Psalm 136, because folks, at the end of the day, "His mercy endureth forever."

Come out and tour the Cory farm! We will be showing people around our farm and garden operation, we will also be shearing sheep from about 10  to 4 or so in the afternoon.

At 5:00 or so, we will have a free dinner, plus some bagpipers. At about 5:30 we will be having an old fashioned barn dance! And finally at about 8:00 PM we will end with some Pickett Fence Ice Cream! Yikes!

You are welcome to come for part of the day, or the whole day, the tours and shearing will be going on from 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM, and the rest of the stuff after that.
There also will be some guest vendors here part of the day.

Donations are accepted.

See you then!

A couple of days ago, three of our Guinea Fowl hatched out a half-dozen little keets.

The reasons why our family like Guinea's, is because (1) they don't eat tomato's, strawberries, etc., whereas chickens do. Also, (2) they eat tons and tons of bugs, ticks, snakes, mice, etc., (3) they make great watch dogs.

They originally came from Africa.
