With today's update, we have now introduced three experts (+Binaebi Akah, +Carla Casilli and +Ken Denmead) and 12 nominees to become everyday mentors for the Million Skills Project. There's more to come.

Back the project as an individual for as little as $1, or back the project on behalf of your organization starting at $100.

Learning is better with friends.

Meet the first of our mentors: +Binaebi Akah

#MillionSkills
Every few days during this Kickstarter campaign, we plan to explain a little more about the Million Skills Project by introducing you to one of our first six everyday mentors, and the area of the Choir website their expertise represents. Sifting knowledge can be a serendipitous event, though. While we think we know what we'll get out of those interviews, our mentors may surprise us (and themselves) by the skill sets that emerge.Thank you to all o...

Great process and great mentors. Do yourself a favor and check out this 4-minute mini-documentary we put together this weekend.

+christian briggs and I were hard at work last week creating some new digital artifacts to share as we make a push to fund the #MillionSkills  project this Friday.

One of those artifacts is this 4-minute mini-documentary about the Sift-and-Lift process of mining fluency from our everyday mentors.

Help us by backing the project (http://kck.st/1dS93bZ) and recruiting organizations to learn on Choir as a group.

Please do consider joining in!

After months of prep, +christian briggs and I launched a Kickstarter campaign to create a learning community for digital-age skills.

We have enlisted the expertise of 6 everyday mentors (+Binaebi Akah, +Ken Denmead, +Doug Belshaw, +Carla Casilli, +Sarah Smith-Robbins and Joel Schroeder) to help us start filling our Choir website with insights and skills helpful for using digital tools.

Our campaign invites backers to nominate their own everyday mentors to be included in our beta launch next fall, adding to a list of other people we believe would make great mentors. Even $1 makes you a backer, and gives you the opportunity to vote for mentors and learn their skills.

We got off to a great start yesterday, but we have a long way to go and the hope that we'll be able to push well beyond our initial goal to help fund additional features (like group missions) or including more than 20 everyday mentors in our launch.

Please consider backing the Million Skills Project to help launch this community. We need people participating as much as dollars.
