"You see the Node.js philosophy is to take the worst fucking language ever designed and put it on the server. "

Kind of true :)

The problem is that they have never did anything with gwt before but they "know" it has been abandoned. The only thing that is working now is to show them how application with 1000+ forms is working with gwt, and to ask them to show me the same in some other web technology whatever they want. If they do that (which is very unlikely) I would ask them to show me at least 250 concurrent users and that will probably be enough. Let's see, I am waiting for their next "argument".

Interesting JS library I ve found. If you find it hard doing regular expressions like me.

Might be worth training my JS Interop skills with it :)

It's a multi device world and customers want their apps to be available everywhere(desktop, phone, web, tv, watches, etc ..)

As a small startup with (very) limited resources we are always looking for ways to reuse as most code as possible when targeting multiple platforms

The picture below shows how we are able to share GWT code between the web client and the native mobile client hooking into super devmode to push code to the web client and the emulator/device.

Cant wait to share this soon.
We love it. Our customers do and we hope you guys will too :)

We ve tried J2ObjC.

The problem we had with it was that one still have to programm in Obj C(Swift) for iOS. We wanted to code 100% in Java.

That s why we built on top of Titanium JS API.
But if the team want to use Obj C and has the resources J2ObjC is def. a great choice.

For mobile web and desktop we took inspiration from the example in the GWT SDK

Is there any way to disable dynamicCast is SDM ?
It seems like there is compiler argument for that.

There is for a normal compile, but I don't believe SDM supports it, much like it doesn't support many other optimizations (removing asserts, dropping class metadata, or any of the normal optimizations). Like turning off asserts, while it would get you closer to production speeds, it also would allow you to ignore errors.
