#MLB Here is the free-agent class of 2013-14, ranked from Nos. 1 to 200. The rankings are based on a number of variables, including each player's history, age and potential, and are as much about predicted performance as market value, providing a general outline as free agency unfolds between now and spring training. #FanPages
A ranking of players, Nos. 1-200, perhaps looking for new homes and bigger paydays.

#MLB  The #CincinnatiReds  didn’t offer Arroyo a contract, turning him into an immediate free agent.

That means if another team signs him, the Reds won’t receive a compensatory draft pick from the signing team. #FanPages

Who. Have you chosen to take his place?

#MLB  Given the quality and consistency of the rotation the past two years, it's hard to say that Aroldis Chapman being in the pen is a misused asset, per se, although many of us would prefer to see him called upon a bit more liberally.

The most enjoyable player to watch on the team, hands down.

#MLB  The #AtlantaBraves could be interested in taking second baseman Brandon Phillips off the #CincinnatiReds' hands, provided the Reds take Dan Uggla in the deal. #FanPages
The Braves would likely have to give up a decent prospect in order to make such a trade work between the two teams.

#MLB  Paul O'Neill, former Red, five-time World Series champion and well-known intense competitor, would seem to be a natural as a #CincinnatiReds  managerial candidate, especially now that a playing career and smarts can carry the day and long managerial or even coaching apprenticeships aren't required. #FanPages
Former Red, Yankee Paul O'Neill makes his case for the Reds' managerial position -- 'one of the top jobs in baseball.'

#MLB  Instead of keeping Dustin Baker around for one more try, the #CincinnatiReds  fired him on Friday, parting ways with the manager who led them to their best stretch of success since the "Big Red Machine" but couldn't get them deep into the postseason. #FanPages

Good riddance! Dusty held no one accountable and never pushed the right buttons to get the best of each player. This was a group of selfish individuals, looking for personal accolades, instead playing for the betterment of the team. Hopefully the new manager can change the team's make-up in order to play better as a whole. Otherwise, it will be the same old story of players who can hit the long ball when it doesn't count instead of being contact hitter who can drive in runs in critical situations when the team needs them to.

#MLB  The #CincinnatiReds  announced that they have claimed right-hander Pedro Beato off waivers from the Red Sox.

In corresponding moves, Cincinnati has outrighted right-hander Greg Reynolds and catcher Corky Miller off the 40-man roster, each of whom has elected free agency. #FanPages

#MLB  The #CincinnatiReds  interest in Cuban infielder Alexander Guerrero – even though Walt Jocketty says they’re unlikely to sign Guerrero – is the strongest indication that the club will try to trade Brandon Phillips. #FanPages

#MLB  Thus far, only one of the candidates -- pitching coach Bryan Price -- is known to have been contacted by general manager Walt Jocketty about interviewing for the job.

The Reds are taking their time when it comes to finding a new manager.
