If you think it's fine to hassle, to grief someone over their Kickstarter rewards delivery schedule, two things:

1) it's not a fucking preorder service - protip, don't pledge money on Kickstarter with expectations attached. You buy a stock, it crashes, do you fucking birddog the the CFO to get your money back?

2) do us both a favor and block me now so you don't have to see me excoriate you and I don't have to see your whiny entitled shit in my stream.

And I have a couple quarts of these things just beggin' to be prosciutto-wrapped and broiled.
Our neighbor's fig tree split three years ago under the weight of the fruit.  Gorilla glue, drywall screws, and rope held it together and it's still kickin' out figs at an amazing rate.

Best seared tuna I've made yet, pre-searing.  About 1/2 cup chopped cilantro, 1/3 cup low-salt tamari, juice of 1 lime, 1 tablespoon palm sugar, 1 grated garlic clove, big pinch of sea salt.  A couple-three hours at room temperature, a strict 120 seconds on each side over medium heat -

Dinner! Finger-food for grownups edition. Caught-today Westport spot shrimp, roasted broccoli florets, sticky rice, homemade ponzu.

Those shrimp - holy crap. Like sticks of butter in shells.

Tonight!  Spring rolls with pork and/or shrimp, urap (chopped vegetable salad with lime-leaf/coconut dressing), and the old standby of nyonya-style spicy fried chicken.  Black glutinous rice pudding to follow.  Singapore Slings to accompany.  Library nerd friends, none of whom are nerdy enough to be on G+, will eat while I collapse in the kitchen.

I just cannot make enough Indonesian food.

Reshared for the happiness of cooking something out of the ordinary.  Smelled so good
Extracircular food post for those who may want to periodically see some foodie content from me.

Thanks to our incredibly awesome neighbor, coconut-lemongrass razor clam curry.  Razor clams dug this afternoon by him, cooked this evening by me, consumed by my wife and son.  

Because if I ate it I'd be hurling within a half-hour.  Me and bivalves, we don't get along at all.
