I have had two separate interactions with Fairfax Kia; one was for a used car, and the other (more recent) interaction was for a new car. In both instances, I have experienced nothing but a pleasant mix of camaraderie with professionalism. I would like to specifically call out several individuals that made my new car purchase experience an incredibly positive one. 1) Mike O'Neill: This is the guy that I would definitely refer you to for your new car negotiations and sales. He is an agent that was able to answer all my questions in a comprehensive fashion, as well as being reasonable and flexible during the negotiation process; frankly, there was very little negotiating because the incentives and the costs of the vehicle (from the beginning) were below the projected costs of services such as TrueCar. During our initial interactions through e-mail, his responses were both comprehensive and quick, and in-person interactions with him were pleasant, and lacked the pressure that other dealerships seem to push on customers. In addition, they were able to obtain a black Kia Soul for me the same day that I purchased the vehicle by arranging to have it brought over from another dealership. If that isn't good service, I don't know what is! 2) Jay Madrigal: While I did not have very many interactions with Jay, it was clear that he had a philosophy in terms of the people that he hired, as well as the dealership style he was creating. The people he hires are not only trained to be knowledgeable about the products that they sell, but he also cultivates a culture of sales that is both low pressure and direct. This not only allows for the dealership and the customer to arrive at a fair price for a product, but it eliminates the mindset that there can be only one "winner" in a car negotiation; the time spent on endlessly negotiating a few dollars and cents can rather be spent on enjoying driving a great Kia vehicle. For the used car side, I would highly recommend Hank Wainwright as your go-to salesperson. He was not only knowledgeable of the 2013 Kia Soul that I was interested in, but (like Mike) was low pressure and very flexible and open to listening to my concerns. Ultimately, if you are the type of person that feels the need to argue for hours on end to make a $100 difference in the end cost of your vehicle, I would not recommend coming here. However, if you are the type of person that both values your time and desires an exceptional price on an exceptional product, then definitely work with the fine folks at Kia Fairfax; you won't regret it.
