+jimmies rustled While importing the virtual machine to oVirt, it must not be running. Conversion of a virtual machine from one hypervisor to another is a very different task than to migrate a running virtual machine from one host to another, and in order to do that the virtual machine needs to be down.
Of course in oVirt you will be able to migrate virtual machines between your hosts without any special license :)

Yes, click downward arrow next to Disks button on the toolbar, pick "Open image file", then point it to the dd image.
