Matt grew up in a pizza restaurant. Working with his Father they opened their first restaurant in 1982 in Delta, UT on Main Street. They named it “The Pizza House.” It was there that Matt’s dad developed the slow rising pizza dough used today to make Pizza Pie Café pizza so good!

Matt’s teen years included reading trade magazines and going to Pizza trade shows. At the age of 16 he read “Pizza Tiger”, the story of Tom Monaghan and Domino’s. Matt said, “I knew at that point that I wanted to open my own pizza restaurants and do that for the rest of my life.”

Matt went on to work for various restaurants (too many to list) and in 1991 met his wife while working at “The Brick Oven” (Heaps) in Provo, UT. They always wanted a restaurant of their own, so in 2003 the couple moved to Rexburg, Idaho and took over an abandoned pizza shop called Craigo’s.

They put their talents to work creating Craigo’s Gourmet Pizza. The building quickly became too small and in 2005 Craigo’s moved locations in Rexburg. From humble beginnings as a college hangout, Craigo’s became Pizza Pie Café and what you see today!

PIZZA? Come to this restaurant RN!!!!! This pizza place has the best pizza ever and I've been to high top-notch pizza parlors that were awarded nationally for its pizza, and I personally think they should be rewarded for their pizza! It's awesome the employees are SUPER nice and very funny and friendly. And you expect to have this place be expensive right? WRONG! The buffet is only around $5 per person!!!! It's amazing

Lots of food for a decent price. The desert pizza was really good but the rest of it wasn't very good. Didn't seem very sanitary with all the kids running around sticking there fingers in everything. Will likely not go back.

the food is alright.... somewhat lacking in the salad bar though. but it's average pizza pie café food. it's the atmosphere that sucks butt. do not, i repeat, do not enter during mormon monday.. so many god damn kids running around unsupervised. holy balls.

We love going to PPC in Orem, but I don't think we'll visit the Highland one again. The food was the same, exactly what I've come to expect from Pizza Pie Cafe. But here, the service really lacked. When we walked in, there wasn't anyone at that counter and when the guy finally came, he didn't greet us, just took the order. There were only a handful of tables that were occupied, so clearly not busy. Some tables hadn't been bussed yet from previous customers, the soda area was messy and sticky, the salad bar area had toppings spilled all over the counter, everything from the forks to the straws needed to be stocked and there were 4 employees sitting at a booth, eating and having fun. A fifth employee was dishing up salad for himself from behind the counter and yet another employee was on his cell phone in the back. Not much selection on dessert pizzas and there were 2 empty dessert pizza pans in the front row that they didn't bother to clear when they added pizzas to the back. I had to have my husband reach in the back to get a slice for me. We were there for about 45 minutes, the 4 employees were still having a great time in the booth when we left. Won't be returning. I like it at the Orem location so much better.

I really use to like this Pizza Pie Cafe but it's terrible the last few times I've gone. Last few times have been old pizza that taste like it's been under the lamp forever!! It's always so dirty too. We can never get a table because they haven't been cleared yet. People old bowls and pizza played chilling there. Then you look and bunch of kids standing and talking. None of the employees look like there over the age of 16. The pasta is good, but sorry the pizza is terrible. I will not be back ever again id rather spend my money else where.

Good family spot to stop in and get cafeteria type pizza. Not the best quality but a decent value and selection for the price.

The employees were efficient and fun and the pizza was plentiful. This isn't super high quality pizza, but that isn't the point! Great place for kids.

Pretty reasonable, good tasting all-you-can-eat pizza, including a few dessert pizzas.
