Ok, I get it. Avaya filed bankruptcy back in April. There is a plan to get them out of bankruptcy. They just sold their networking products to Extreme Networks. And they are re-organizing, making them stronger than they have ever been. We believe in Avaya and their products. We are, and continue to be, an Authorized Avaya Business Partner. Avaya IP Office is our expertise.

Somehow, our company has been put on a list that has been sold to other telecom vendors, telling us to get rid of our Avaya phone system and buy their products. We've been inundated with SPAM emails from companies selling Shoretel, Ring Central, among others. We just received a coffee mug directly from Mitel. It came unintentionally (at least I think so) used. No advertisement. Nothing. Just a sticker on the bottom of the box that stated "Your next cup is on us".

We continue to sell, install, maintain and support Avaya IP Office. Yes, we do use IP Office as our business phone system. No, we will not sell it. We are used to a premium quality phone system and won't suffer for less. Avaya will be around for a long time. Enough with these companies acting as if they are buzzards circling around something dead. Avaya is alive and well, and making a strong comeback!

A road trip last week took us to the eastern side of Pennsylvania. One of the remote locations of a company who's HQ is located in a Chicago suburb. We've installed IP Office at all of their nationwide locations throughout the years. There is now an ongoing project to upgrade the IP Office systems and starting to replace their old 54xx phones with 9608G phones, also adding Avaya ERS 3549GTS-PWR+ where we need.

A nationwide customer is upgrading from their old Definity systems to Avaya IP Office. This morning is the cutover at one of their sites in Chicago. Placing out phones and training will last the rest of the day.

Fun Friday!
We were on a service call this week at a site that has an Avaya IP Office. This site's corporate office had hired someone to make a jack "live" so they can install another phone. But the phone wasn't working! Can you guess why? Ran another cable and the phone worked fine.
