Not a big fan of AIDEA proposal. Gov't co-investment makes sense when it helps drive resource (and thus, revenue) development. This is neither CO-investment (this is a government buy out, similar to federal auto and bank bailouts) nor an investment in return generating development. Original Fairbanks trucking proposal was to assist private solutions to Fairbanks challenges, this appears to be heading down the road of supplanting private solutions. More grain terminal and seafood processing plant, than DMTS (Red Dog Mine road and terminal).
