#givebackGitmo  Today is a pretty cool day. The Cuban embassy is open for business. Kerry will open the US embassy in Havana sometime in August.

The worst part of this propaganda video is the "mental illness" bit. The "diagnosis" came from U.S. "intelligence" which, reportedly, studied Putin's mannerisms and concluded he has #Aspergers.

The mainstream media then rolled that out to the masses by subtly suggesting Aspergers is synonymous to "retardation".

The tactic was shameful and every citizen should take offense to it.

Anyone that has, or knows, someone with any variant of Autism should be thoroughly disgusted. To use "Autism" as a political strategy to demean anyone's capability of intellect or leadership just show's how desperately we're pushing for war.

This has got to stop.

And the intelligence community which introduced this "mental illness" method as a strategy should be held accountable for it. At the very least they should apologize, publicly, and directly to Putin. As well, to the public at large...

I can't overuse the word "shameful" here.
The scary part is that this is exactly the way Putin and Russia are portrayed in the Main Scream Media. I can totally see Victoria Nuland promoting a spot like this in English here in the US...

If we truly want to reduce, or even nullify, our oil dependency we're going to have to think outside the proverbial box. Unfortunately those that try to do that get punished. The system doesn't like independent beyond-the-box thinkers, see.

Underpass near ICC, Berlin.

Cannot decide whether the bleakness of the place is better captured in the black-and-white, or in the garishness of the orange tiles  in their weak attempt to fight the lack of good lightning lighting.

I've a lot of respect for those that have managed to keep their independently owned bookstores open over the last decade. Couldn't have been easy with digital doing what it's done.

It's only natural for these hubs to transition into activist centers for the intellectually wealthy.
