Yang fan is this month's faculty in the spotlight!

Born in Shanghai, Dr.Yang initially came to Europe work on her master’s degree. She went on to earn her PhD in the field of Strategic & International Management at the London Business School before she later embarked on a career in academia. We had a very intensive and yet ‘gezellig’ female digital starter weekend. The participants learned about how to develop websites and mobile applications, and how to use google advertising and analytics to promote their own businesses. The energy in the group was overwhelming and the women were so dedicated. As one of the organizers, I’m delighted and thrilled by what the group has achieved in two days’ time. Well done, ladies! Since 2015, St.Petersburg based collective Expert Photobook Review has invited experts from beyond the photography industry to analyse photobooks in a video review format.

Jana Romanova, the co-founder of Expert Photobook Review, did an art residency at Webster Leiden Campus / Media Communications Department and produced video reviews on three recent publications.

Jana Romanova also took part in the programme of events at photography festival Unseen Amsterdam, which now is sharing the videos.

Watch psychologist Sheetal Shah review Laura Cnossen's Love, Klink, fashion designer Antoine Peters comment on Judith van IJken's Anamorphosis, and immigration attorney Susanne Mooij talk about Lilia Luganskaya's Investigation of Love.
Thank you Unseen Amsterdam for sharing the work and mentioning Webster Leiden Campus!

We've really been looking forward to this event for weeks and it's finally happening this weekend! And as a bonus? It's free!
We're proud to be part of this amazing event in November, in collaboration with Women's Business Initiative International, Women Enterpreneurhip Platform and the Digital Leadership Institute.
It's all about teen and adult women* the skills to become digital entrepreneurs and leaders, and to support them in driving positive change in their communities.

*Anyone who identifies as a woman
