- I wanted to take a minute and tanks you for the excellent teach-tape. I followed your instructions . . . which took me approximately 4 hours, as I used as many precautions as possible; e.g. "taping & numbering EVERY connection that I unplugged," and "pausing your video after each step," to ensure I didn't wreck the TV. That said, it was worth every minute! I have a WD-73831, purchased in 2006. When it started distorting / solarizing, I was prepared to simply purchase a new TV. While browsing for certified Mitsubishi service providers, on chance someone might be able to fix the problem; +Google
resolved my query to your postings. The one thing I'd draw specific attention to is the fact that the untrained eye, such as mine, might assume the color wheel is actually clean when you first remove it! But one swipe of alcohol across it with the q-tip, and BAM!!!- - you quickly realize just how shiny clean color wheels are supposed to be. That said, you're a good Guy for taking time to post the videos. If you're ever in DC, two rounds are on my!
